Q. What are the dates for IW2018?

A. Interrupt Week will take place on July 15-23, 2018.

Q. What is the career path for the IW2018 experience?

A. This year's topic will be Social Innovation.

Q. Who should go to IW2018?

A. We recommend this career path to professionals in marketing, sales, customer experience, operations, and small business owners.

Q. What is included in registration?

A. All flights, meals and accommodation, workshops led by key players in the industry (we like to call them Challengers), break out sessions specific to your field, exploration adventures tailored to your group, and one local community activity to leave our destination a little better than we found it.

Q. Do I need to have a valid passport?

A. Yes. If you don't currently have a valid passport don't stress, we'll work with you on making sure you get this on time for your IW2018 experience.

Q. How big is the group?

A. Our sweet spot is twelve, but this number might fluctuate by +- one or two, depending on applications. We want to make sure the group is cohesive and has enough common ground to get along, yet enough differences to create a diverse environment.

Q. Where are we going? I can't find this info anywhere!

A. Easy there, that's on purpose. The destination is not revealed until one week before the trip. Don't fretβ€”you will receive a packing guide six weeks prior to departure. Think of it as the perfect way to rediscover your sense of adventure.

Q. How many years of professional experience do I need to have to apply?

A. While there are no strict guidelines, most of our applicants have 3-7 years of experience in the workplace.

Q. What if I have dietary or health restrictions?

A. We're happy to accommodate. Make sure you indicate this when you fill the registration questionnaire.

Q. Can I apply with a friend?

A. We seriously do not recommend it. Traveling solo is one of the best ways to get out of your comfort zone, intentionally connect with others and with your destination, and ultimately rediscover yourself at a core level. Also, you won't be alone. You'll be surrounded by amazing people handpicked based on our lovely algorithm (ahem, lots of manual profriendssional match making).

Q. Does that mean I'll have to share a room?

A. Nope. Everyone gets their own room.

Q. Is everything really included? Do I need to bring anything else?

A.  We always recommend bringing emergency cash and a little spending money to indulge in local foods, crafts, and any last minute experiences that you'd like to pursue outside of IW2018.

Q. You didn't answer my question.

A. We'd love to hear from you. Get in touch with us at and ask away! We want you to feel as comfortable and confident as possible in your decision to apply.
